About Bri

Bri Yi (she/her) is a comedic, fast paced, and witty Korean American actress. During her time at UCLA TFT , she has participated in bringing numerous original works to life! In Spring of 2022, she played the lead “antagonist”, Hungry Ghost in Ruochen Li’s play Red Bridal Veil. That next
Spring in 2023, she originated another role as Soo Jai in Anna Watt’s play A List of Happenings. These two works continue to live in Bri’s heart as it combines some of her most valued aspects of storytelling: the freedom to be absolutely ridiculous, and the seamless inclusion of Asian
womens’ own voices and perspectives. In the film world, Bri made her debut in Lux Carroll’s OPUS 1: f.u.n which won Best Microfilm Finalist at the Cal Film Festival. Outside of TFT Bri has spent the past 3 years as a cast member of the premiere comedy sketch group Company, which
hosts Spring Sing, UCLA’s oldest and greatest musical tradition. In this group she’s pitched, produced, directed, and performed sketches for an audience of over 8k people! One of her favorite SNL members Mikey Day actually got his start on that group! As an artist, Bri’s mission is connection. Whether it’s through laughter, tears, anger, shock, etc, Bri wants to constantly be in conversation with the audience, asking them “do you guys feel this way too?”.
