About Garrett
Garrett Thomas Haun is a curly-haired, gregarious, and versatile actor. With a strong foundation in live theater, he first captivated audiences in his teenage years as Reb Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof, later leading productions such as Little Women, The Trouble with Summer People, and The Little Mermaid. At UCLA, he expanded his repertoire with standout performances in The Time of Your Life as the unpredictable Kit Carson, and as the lead antagonist Chris in Untitled Theater Company’s original play Sharty - a one act exploring the troubles, insecurities, and minds of young men which received great acclaim in the Daily Bruin. He recently finished tearing up the stage for UCLA’s production of Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812 where he showcased his triple-threat abilities and advanced clarinet skills. The past 2 years Garrett was chosen to work with Tim Robbins, Brent Hinkley, and Hannah Chodos for the Actors Gang/UCLA collaboration.
Beyond the stage, Garrett has starred in numerous student films and screen projects including Self-Love Mija and Love is Red. He has worked with esteemed artists like Dr. Peter Weller and Christian Barillas, further refining his craft in front of the camera. A passionate action performer, he has trained the past 3 years in stunt work and martial arts under Ed Monaghan, and taken masterclasses with 87Eleven Action Design. In 2023 Garrett expanded his classical training at LAMDA in West London. He performed in Knight of the Burning Pestle, Romeo and Juliet, and Love’s Labour's Lost, learning from some of England’s best practitioners. Garrett has also broadened his horizons with academic studies in Tokyo (Spring ‘24), enriching his artistic perspective and linguistic abilities. His commitment to storytelling extends beyond acting as he also participated in United Talent Agency’s Externship Program, gaining professional insight and experience. Outside of performing you can catch Garrett cheffing up a succulent dinner for his friends, hitting the beach, or learning another language. With his work, Garrett strives to create immersive worlds that allow audiences to escape, and experience something truly transformative.
