About Kathryn

Kathryn Steenburgh (she/her) is a motivated and curious actor and creative. In her time at UCLA, she has performed for crowds as large as 7,000 at UCLA’s yearly Spring Sing as a three-year member of the “Company” sketch comedy troupe. She also appeared as Tibaldo in UCLA theater mainstage show The Courage to Right a Woman’s Wrongs; as the lead character of The Great Specific Garbage Catch, an original work by fellow TFT student Tyler Neufeld; and as lead and supporting characters in a variety of student films—the most recent of which, The Herald, premiered at the 2024 Beverly Hills Film Festival.

Outside of acting, Kathryn has had the chance to explore various creative roles in her time at UCLA. As a member of the theater major’s playwriting emphasis, she is in the process of refining her first full-length play. She produced two short films in her time in college, preparing her for her role as one of the 2025 Acting Showcase’s two producers.

Kathryn values narrative fiction as an accessible vehicle for complex ideas and as a catalyst for human connection.
