About Amanda
Amanda Kang (she/her) is a dynamic Los Angeles-based performer with a passion for storytelling across stage and screen.
Regionally, Amanda has performed across California, notably in Into the Woods at Moonlight Stage and The Comedy of Errors at SPARC Theater. She will next appear in The Chinese Lady at Chance Theater and The Addams Family at Berkeley Playhouse.
At UCLA, Amanda’s mainstage credits span musical theater, new work, and opera with standout performances as Little Red in Into the Woods, Marcy Park in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and Venus in The C Word (New Work).
On-screen, Amanda has appeared in short films, TV movies, and independent pilots, including Ladke (VC Film Fest, UK Asian Film Fest, San Diego Film Fest), Call Earl (Overlook Film Fest), and Looking for Lilah (Recurring Guest, 3 episodes).
Amanda is passionate about fostering equity and diverse representation in the arts. As Production Manager for UCLA’s Korean Culture Night and a Lead Resident Assistant, she actively promotes artistic expression across campus, focusing on Asian American and women-centered narratives. Through her leadership, she creates inclusive platforms that amplify underrepresented voices and celebrate cultural storytelling. Amanda is committed to bringing complex, nuanced stories to life and continues to seek opportunities that challenge and inspire both herself and her audiences.
