About Oliver

Oliver Strachan (he/him) is a theater artist, musician, and young leader who strives to create work that is both deeply authentic and just ridiculous enough to keep things interesting. During his time at UCLA's School of Theater, Film, and Television, he has performed in multiple mainstage and student theater productions. His favorite credits include Pericles (Thaliard), Pippin (King Charles), The Rocky Horror Picture Show (Frank-N-Furter), Waitress (Cal), The Time of Your Life (Blick), Something Rotten! (Robin/Ensemble), and Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 (Andrey).

Beyond the stage, Oliver was selected as a solo performer at UCLA’s oldest musical tradition, Spring Sing, where he performed an original song. He recently released his first fully produced single “The Void” under the name Oliver Elliott and continues to develop his voice as a songwriter. He is also passionate about a cappella and currently serves as the president and choreographer of Bruin Harmony, UCLA’s premier all-male a cappella group, after previously holding roles as business and marketing manager. With the group, he competed in the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA), where he was awarded Outstanding Soloist.

Oliver is a frequent collaborator on new works, including the world premiere workshops of The Grand Hotel Tartarus, DisTopia, The Golden Record, and Yesterday Once More. He also works at Pacific Resident Theater as a social media manager and house management intern, where he supports the development of intimate, thought-provoking productions. In addition to his work in theater and music, Oliver has amassed a small but mighty following of 43K and 1.2M likes on TikTok, where he enjoys creating content and sharing his art with a wider audience. Whether performing, writing, leading, or making playful yet heartfelt videos, Oliver is always looking for new ways to connect and create.
