About RJ

RJ Wang is a Chinese-born actor with a touch of Texas in his craft. His love for storytelling began as an All-American public speaker in speech and debate, where he excelled in numerous tournaments across the DFW circuit and on the national stage. His newfound passion for performance would land him in the heart of LA at the UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television, where he earned his BA in Theater-Acting. During his time there, RJ has been an integral part of numerous department productions, most notably taking on the lead role of Katsuyori in A Most Favored Nation, a UCLA REMAP project supported by Epic Games MegaGrant and Intel Studios. He has also made his mark by featuring in various short films and music videos while working in the TikTok live streaming space as an Entertainment Assistant for NBCN.
Outside of his performances, RJ trains in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, is quite a talented barista, and it seems his love for playing football and soccer never dies. Beyond that, his mission to amplify Asian-American representation in film and theater has become his foremost commitment. He is ambitious, zealous, and cannot wait to get to work.
